Fujifilm X100VI

I recently took my Fujifilm X100VI to the races and came back with a set of images that felt worth sharing. This video is mostly the photographs - over 50 of them - but I also talk through a few practical points that came up on the day, because it’s often those details that decide whether a camera is a joy or a mild nuisance.

I touch on how I approached editing afterwards, what it was like using the X100VI in a busy, fast-moving environment, and why “people watching” is half the job at an event like this. You’ve got expressions, little interactions, gestures, odd bits of humour, and moments that disappear instantly if you’re not paying attention.

I also include a couple of notes on battery life (because long days out are where compact cameras get tested properly), and a bit of discussion around the new sensor and cropping. The X100VI invites you to shoot a little looser sometimes, then tighten the frame later, so I talk about how that worked out in practice.

If you’re wondering whether the X100VI is a good one-camera option for days out, travel, events, or just photographing people in the wild, this should give you a decent feel for it.
