The 6-Month Photographer Development Programme

£1,495.00

A private 6-month photography mentoring programme for photographers who want clearer work, a stronger business, better editing workflow and one-to-one guidance.

The 6-Month Photographer Development Programme is designed for photographers who want more than a single mentoring call. Across six months, we’ll look properly at your photography, your website, your editing, your pricing, your SEO, your workflow and the way you present yourself online.

My background is in documentary wedding photography, so this programme is particularly well-suited to wedding photographers, documentary photographers and people-focused photographers.

But it is not limited to weddings. If you photograph people, work with clients, edit in Lightroom, and want a clearer direction for your photography business, the programme can be shaped around you.

This is not a group course or a generic coaching package. It is private photography mentoring, built around your work, your business and the areas where you need the most help.

What’s included:

6 x private one-hour Zoom mentoring sessions with Kevin Mullins

A full portfolio review, looking at your strongest work, consistency, storytelling, editing choices and overall direction

A website and SEO review, looking at how your photography business is presented online and how clearly your site speaks to potential clients

A business and pricing review, including your packages, client journey, enquiry process and overall positioning

A Lightroom workflow review, helping you refine the way you organise, edit and finish your images

An editing and style review, looking at consistency, tone, colour, monochrome work and the overall feel of your finished photographs

A written action plan after each session, so you know exactly what to work on next

• Access to The Art of Documentary Wedding Photography online course (worth £100)

• Access to the full Kevin Mullins Lightroom Presets collection (worth £120)

• Access to Mullins Monochrome Studio, my Lightroom Classic monochrome plugin (worth £25)

Ongoing WhatsApp support throughout and after the programme.

Private photography mentoring

Six months of one-to-one development for your photography and your business.

This is for photographers who want more than a quick Zoom call. Over six months, we will look properly at your work, your editing, your website, your SEO, your pricing, your workflow and the way your photography business presents itself to the world.

My background is in documentary wedding photography, but this programme is not only for wedding photographers. It is particularly suited to people-focused photographers who want clearer work, stronger presentation, better client experience and a more confident sense of direction.

The aim is not to make your work look like mine. It is to help you understand what is already working, what is getting in the way, and what practical changes will move you forward.

Why work with me?

Experience matters, especially when you need someone to be honest.

I have spent almost two decades building a photography business around documentary wedding photography, family photography, street photography, Lightroom workflow, teaching, workshops, online courses, presets, plugins and written educational content for photographers.

I have photographed almost 800 weddings, taught photographers in person and online, spoken at industry events as far away as Argentina and Japan, built a large photography audience, created digital products, written extensively about photography, and worked through the same awkward business questions that most photographers face.

  • PricingKnowing what to charge, how to structure your packages, and how to avoid quietly undercutting yourself.
  • PositioningUnderstanding where you sit in the market and why someone should choose you over another photographer.
  • Editing styleBuilding consistency in your finished work without making everything feel forced or over-processed.
  • Website structureMaking your site clearer, easier to navigate, and more useful for the people you want to book you.
  • SEO and enquiriesHelping your website speak more clearly to search engines and, more importantly, to real clients.
  • Client experienceLooking at the journey from first enquiry to final delivery, and the small details that build trust.
  • ConfidenceWorking out what is genuinely good in your work, what needs improving, and what you should stop worrying about.

That is the point of this programme. We are not just looking at one photograph, one page, one preset, or one small technical problem. We are looking at the bigger picture and then breaking it down into practical, manageable steps.

1

Portfolio and visual direction

We will look at your strongest work, your weaker habits, your consistency, your storytelling, and the kind of photographer your portfolio currently suggests you are.

2

Website, SEO and Social Media

We will review your photography website, page structure, clarity of message, search visibility, internal linking, blog opportunities and how easily potential clients can understand what you offer.

3

Editing and Lightroom workflow

We will look at how you organise, edit and finish your images, including Lightroom workflow, consistency, monochrome work, colour treatment and the overall feel of your final photographs.

4

Business, pricing and client management

We can review your pricing, packages, enquiry process, client acquisition, booking journey and the way you manage clients from first contact through to final delivery.

I can also share the tools, systems and workflows I use to keep my own photography business organised, visible and manageable.

5

Client experience

We can look at the touchpoints between enquiry and delivery, including emails, expectations, booking flow, confidence, communication and the small details that help clients trust you.

6

Ongoing direction

Each session ends with a written action plan, so you are not left with a pile of ideas and no idea what to do next. The programme is designed to keep you moving.

How it works

A clear structure, but shaped around you.

After sign-up, I will send you a short questionnaire so I can understand where you are now, what you photograph, what you are struggling with, and what you want to achieve.

We will then arrange your first Zoom session and map out the areas we need to cover over the six months. Each session can focus on a different part of your photography business, from portfolio and editing through to pricing, SEO, website structure, workflow, client experience or creative direction.

Some photographers will need more help with their website and SEO. Others will need help with editing, confidence, portfolio curation or pricing. The structure is there to keep us focused, but the mentoring is personal.

Included extras

More than six Zoom calls.

  • The Art of Documentary Wedding Photography (Value: £100) Full access to my main online course, particularly useful if you want to strengthen your storytelling, observation and documentary approach.
  • Kevin Mullins Lightroom Presets Collection (Value: £120) Access to my full Lightroom Presets collection, so you can explore my profile-based editing tools as part of your own workflow.
  • Mullins Monochrome Studio (Value: £25) Access to my Lightroom Classic monochrome plugin, designed to help build controlled, film-like black and white edits.
  • Private WhatsApp support (Value: included throughout and after the programme) Direct support during the six-month programme, with ongoing light-touch access afterwards for occasional follow-up questions.

This programme is ideal if you

Want proper private mentoring, not a generic group course.

  • Need honest feedback You want experienced, constructive feedback on your photography, not just encouragement for the sake of it.
  • Feel your portfolio lacks clarity You have good work, but you are not sure whether your website, galleries or editing are saying the right thing.
  • Want help with SEO and your website You know your website matters, but you are not sure whether it is working hard enough for your photography business.
  • Want a better workflow You want to improve how you organise, edit and deliver your work, particularly in Lightroom.
  • Prefer one-to-one support You would rather work privately than share your work, worries and business questions in a group setting.

This may not be right if you

Are looking for instant fixes or empty reassurance.

  • Want guaranteed bookings I can help you improve the way your work and business are presented, but no mentoring programme can honestly guarantee enquiries or bookings.
  • Only want technical camera help We can absolutely cover camera setup and workflow where useful, but this programme is much broader than a technical support session.
  • Do not want honest critique The feedback will always be constructive, but it will be honest. That is where the value is.
  • Need someone to do the work for you I will help you see what needs to change and give you practical steps, but you will need to do the work between sessions.

Experience and perspective

Photography, teaching and real-world experience.

This programme is built around experience, not theory. I have photographed almost 800 weddings, taught photographers in person and online, spoken at photography events around the world, created courses, presets and Lightroom tools, and spent years working through the same creative and business questions that most photographers eventually face.

We can talk about photographs, of course, but we can also talk about the wider picture: how your work is presented, how your website feels, how clients find you, how you edit, how you price, and how all of those things either support each other or quietly work against each other.

Questions

Before you book

Is this only for wedding photographers?

No. My background is strongly rooted in documentary wedding photography, so wedding photographers will naturally get a lot from it. But the programme is also suitable for documentary photographers, family photographers, portrait photographers and other people-focused photographers who want clearer work, better presentation and stronger business direction.

Do I need to be a professional photographer already?

Not necessarily, but you should be taking your photography seriously.

What happens between the Zoom sessions?

After each session, I will send you a written action plan. You will also have access to private WhatsApp support during the programme, so you can ask questions, check progress and keep things moving between calls.

Can we focus more on SEO, editing, business or portfolio?

Yes. The programme has a structure, but it is built around you. Some photographers may need more help with website and SEO. Others may need more help with editing, pricing, workflow or creative direction. We will shape the six months around what will help you most.

How many places are available?

Places are limited because this is personal one-to-one mentoring. I only take on a small number of photographers at any one time, so I can give each person proper attention.

Private, practical and personal

This is not about becoming a different photographer.

It is about understanding your own work more clearly, tightening up the business around it, and having someone experienced in your corner who can look at the whole thing with fresh eyes.
