A behind-the-scenes look at photographing the British Judo Championships 2025 as part of the official media team. I share how I approached positioning, timing and coverage, mostly shooting on the Fujifilm X-T5 with a little GFX100S, plus a quick note on editing the final set using my own Lightroom presets.

I tested the Viltrox AF 9mm F2.8 AIR on my Fujifilm X-T5 at the British Judo Championships, sharing uncropped images to show the full view, edge behaviour and real-world usefulness. For around £160, it’s a tiny ultra-wide I wouldn’t use every day, but I’d always keep in the bag for wider, documentary storytelling frames.
