Why I Shoot with Fujifilm - My Talk at Photokina

This is the full recording of a talk I gave at Photokina in 2018, all about why I shoot with Fujifilm and why I’ve stuck with the system for so long.

It’s not a specs-and-features presentation. It’s more a practical look at how the cameras fit into the way I work, particularly for weddings and family photography where you need to be quick, unobtrusive, and ready for moments that happen once and never again.

I talk through my journey with Fujifilm, what keeps me with Fuji, and how I approach storytelling when I’m photographing real life. There’s a section on metering and exposure decisions, and then I get into the core ideas I always come back to: light, composition and moment. Not as a slogan, but as a simple framework for making photographs that actually mean something.

Later in the talk you’ll see full examples, including a complete wedding story and a day in the life shoot, so you can see how the approach holds up over a whole set, not just a handful of highlight images.
