Viltrox AF 35mm F1.7 Air For Fuji X-Mount Review
In this video I take a proper look at the Viltrox AIR 35mm f/1.7 for Fujifilm X-Mount. It’s a lightweight, budget-friendly prime, and I wanted to see how it holds up when you stop thinking about spec sheets and just go and shoot with it. I put it through a mix of real-world use, including casual shooting and a bit of sport, because that’s usually where cheaper lenses either surprise you or fall apart.
I talk through the practical stuff that matters: how it feels on the camera, how autofocus behaves, what the images look like in normal conditions, and where I think the value really sits. One obvious talking point is the lack of an aperture ring, which will be a deal-breaker for some Fujifilm shooters. I give you my honest take on whether that trade-off is worth it at this price point.
You’ll also see sample images and a bit of discussion around cost and positioning, because this lens is clearly aimed at people who want something small, simple, and affordable without giving up the basics.

There’s also a Viltrox promo link referenced in the video that originally ran for a short window in December 2024. If you’re watching this later, that offer may well have ended, but the review and sample images still stand.
