7 New Fujifilm JPEG Recipes & Custom Settings

In this video I introduce seven new Fujifilm JPEG recipes I’ve put together to give you a spread of distinct looks, without them feeling like novelty filters. The idea is simple: dial in a recipe, shoot with intent, and get results that already feel finished before you’ve even opened Lightroom.

There’s a mix here, because photographers don’t all shoot the same way. Some of these are built for a more cinematic colour feel, some lean into monochrome with a film noir edge, and some sit firmly in that documentary space where you want the image to feel honest, direct, and believable. And then there are a few that are slightly more stylised - still practical, just with a bit more personality.

I walk through each recipe in turn, with notes on how they behave and the kind of scenes they suit. If you’re the sort of person who likes shooting JPEGs straight out of camera, or you want a consistent starting point for personal work, street photography, or travel, you’ll get plenty to play with here.

If you’re after the names in one place, the seven recipes covered include cinematic colour, cinematic monochrome, documentary colour, documentary monochrome, Lighthouse, Modern Movies, and Pure Grit.
