Discover Film-Like Photos in Lightroom With My New Presets

In this video I introduce my Film Edition Three preset pack and show you how it’s designed to create film-like results in Lightroom without turning your edits into a heavy-handed effect.

These aren’t just basic slider presets. The pack is built around carefully made profiles, which means you get a more consistent, filmic starting point before you even begin tweaking exposure, contrast, or colour. In practice, it makes editing feel quicker and more deliberate. You spend less time wrestling sliders and more time refining the photograph.

I walk through the colour looks first, showing the kind of feel you can get with just a few clicks, from a more nostalgic, vintage vibe through to a cleaner, modern film look. Then I cover workflow and installation, because the whole point is speed and repeatability, not spending your life setting things up. Finally, I go through the monochrome presets and how they sit alongside the colour pack, so you can keep a consistent look across a full set of images.

Film Edition Three also includes a set of utilities designed to speed up your day-to-day workflow, and there are AI utilities included too for people using the newer versions of Lightroom Classic, Lightroom (CC), and the cloud-based Lightroom ecosystem.

If you’re after a film-like aesthetic that still feels natural, and a workflow that doesn’t slow you down, this video will give you a clear overview of what Film Edition Three is all about.
