Personal portraits,
milestones & character
Not every portrait needs a professional reason. Marking a moment, a project, a chapter in life. Something a bit more considered than a phone snap and a vague intention to sort it later.
How sessions work
I'll guide gently to bring out your personality
FUll-length portraits can be part of the session
— Kevin's approachNot stiff, not fake,
not over-edited.
Sessions are relaxed. The people Kevin photographs are not usually models and do not necessarily love being in front of a camera.
That's completely normal. His job is to keep things calm, guide clearly, and make sure the end result feels professional without feeling forced.
Some clients want a clean, straightforward headshot. Others want a portrait with a bit more shape, mood and personality.
In most cases, the sweet spot sits somewhere in the middle, and a single session produces both.
-
A relaxed session.
Kevin will guide you clearly throughout. Nothing awkward, nothing over-rehearsed. Most people who were nervous before say they forgot about it fairly quickly.
-
Natural editing.
Temporary distractions can go. Your face stays yours. Kevin retouches with a filmic hand - the end result should look like you, not a smoothed version of someone else.
-
A useful set of images.
Not just one nice photograph. A set you can actually use - for casting, for work, for your website, for social media, or for something more personal. Colour and monochrome both included.
Studio portrait sessionWhat every session includes.

and everything in between.
Different people, different briefs, same basic aim; honest, well-made photographs that look like them.
A mix of what comes out of a single session:
— Kind wordsWhat clients say about their sessions.
Kevin made the whole process incredibly relaxed. I'm not someone who enjoys being photographed, but he managed to bring out expressions that actually feel like me. The final images look fantastic and have already gone straight onto my Spotlight profile.
I needed new headshots for casting submissions and Kevin completely understood the brief. The shoot was efficient, relaxed and really well guided. Having both colour and monochrome versions of the images was a brilliant bonus.
This was easily the best headshot session I've had. Kevin's studio setup is excellent and he gives just enough direction to help you find the right look without it feeling forced. The images have a really natural, film-like feel.

Not at all. Most people don't. Kevin will guide you throughout — gently and clearly — so nothing feels awkward or over-rehearsed.
-
Keep it simple and choose clothes that feel like you, but one step smarter than everyday. Solid colours usually work better than large logos or very busy patterns. The More Information page goes into this in more detail.
-
Yes, but lightly and with a filmic quality. Temporary blemishes and distractions can go. Your face stays yours — you still need to look like yourself when you walk into the room.
-
Yes, and that's often the best approach. We can make the clean, straightforward images you know you need, then spend a little time on portraits with more character and personality. One session, both outcomes.
-
Yes. If that's your main reason for booking, the dedicated actor headshots page explains that side of things in more detail — including Spotlight specifications and what agencies typically look for.
-
Absolutely. Some sessions are very simple and clean — just what you need for a profile or press enquiry. Others expand into personal branding and editorial-style portraits for websites and marketing. Either works within the same session.
