Build a Story. Shoot with Purpose. Refine Your Voice.
This two-day immersive workshop is designed for photographers who want to go beyond casual street snaps and dig into storytelling, structure, and style. Set in the vibrant city of Bristol, we’ll spend time exploring how to shoot with intention, build a project around a theme, and refine your images through editing and critique.
This isn’t a “watch me shoot” kind of workshop. You’ll be working — guided, supported, but expected to shoot, think, and create. It’s practical, friendly, and focused on helping you see differently and shoot with confidence.
What You’ll Learn
Over the two days, you’ll develop your skills in:
Understanding style and thematic storytelling
Working with light, composition, and moment
Project-based shooting with solo and guided time
Editing for impact — both colour and monochrome
Curating a cohesive sequence of images
Presenting your work with clarity and confidence
You’ll leave with more than just a few nice pictures — you’ll have the foundation for building a meaningful, story-driven body of work.
Who This Workshop is For
This workshop is for anyone who wants to take street photography seriously, regardless of their camera system.
You don’t need to be a Fuji shooter. You don’t need to be an expert. You just need a basic understanding of exposure and your camera, a willingness to experiment, and an interest in honest, human photography.
Whether you’re early in your street journey or looking to build a cohesive project for a portfolio or exhibition, this weekend will give you clarity and momentum.

Reviews
Steve Vowles If you want to have a lot of fun, learn bucket loads and impress yourself with the progress you've made by the end, this workshop is for you. My wife bought me a place on the Two Day immersive Street Photography Workshop. It was the best Christmas present ever.
Jessie Frahm This was an excellent experience. Kevin is a very skilled photographer and managed to meet people at their own level. We were four people in the group ranging from beginner to quite experienced and I feel everyone got challenged in a way that suited their level. The course had a good balance of theory and practice which makes a lot of sense.
I finally feel comfortable getting closer to my subject in the streets giving me the room to start focusing more on improving technique as well as observing my environment.
I am sure I'll join a course again sometime.Alun John
Interesting, many new ideas/techniques. Overall v enjoyable and inspirational.Ricky Bache
Thoroughly worthwhile investment if you are serious about developing your street photography skills. Kevin is a marvellous presenter and street savvy instructor who is passionate about helping people create images that have real meaning.Alessia Pasello I was a bit nervous going to this workshop as I'm just an amateur, but Kevin put everyone at ease.
Having just four more student helped in getting direct access to Kevin and his all-inclusive, laid-back, fun yet technical way of teaching.
Kevin is extremely generous in sharing his knowledge without holding anything back both in technical and creative terms. He gave us practical tips and exercises to improve the way we use light and light sources and our ability to see and observe what sourrounds us. He went through his workflow and showed us how he edits his pictures.
I love Kevin's project-based approach to photography and how he implements that in his workshops. You feel like you're actually working on something, not just taking random snapshots.
The workshop was both fun and challenging enough to get me out of my comfort zone. It's nice to see that the effects last even as I got back home.
I hope I'll have the opportunity to go to some other workshop with Kevin in the future to see how my style and my abilities have improved over time.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who has an interest in photography.
I now have a new found passion to pursue my ideas and projects in photography.
Thank you, Kevin

I wasn’t really sure what to expect but found both the format and content of this two day course perfect. There was a great balance of classroom time, time on the streets with Kevin and then time alone to shoot to a brief and it was very chilled out couple of days. I can honestly say I got everything I wanted from the two days and all the questions I wanted to be answered were. There were four of us in total on the course but there were numerous times where I felt this was a one on one course so we’ll worth the money and even something I’d consider doing again given the direct access to such a pro. Improving my photography is now sort of down to me and a lot of practice I know I have the tools needed to get there!Mariette BolhuisI absolutely enjoyed this workshop! Kevin is very generous in sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm about photography. For the group is limited to 5 participants, you're able to connect very easy and swift. My technical capacities certainly improved and it's always fun and important to hear and learn from others how they approach street photography. If you're unknown to this form of photography or already somehow skilled, I think you'll find his approach very interesting.

A most informative and enjoyable workshop, Kevin certainly knows his photography. Shoot locations were well rehearsed and Kevin`s processing knowledge and advice excellent.Jill BrownI thought the workshop was a very well-balanced combination of indoor sessions and outdoor exercises. Kevin’s teaching style is comprehensive, relaxed, patient, fun – a winning combination.
I imagine it could be quite difficult to find and hire a room for the indoor sessions at a time which suits the layout of the workshop, but I think it is essential and works very well when technical aspects such as how to use your images in Lightroom are being discussed. This all came together well in Bristol. Doing this particular exercise in a cafe or bar can be challenging: extraneous noise and inability to see the laptop screen can be problems.Making the presentations available after the workshop is also helpful.I also appreciated having a Fuji representative there to also help with any technical queries with the use of my camera, or any general Fujifilm equipment questions which could easily be addressed, as well as the ability to borrow equipment if one wanted to. Having all those options meant that, for me, the workshop was stress-free as I grappled with a completely new camera system for me.
I enjoyed the exercises we were given, which help hone your ability to ‘see’ what is around you. They really make you think and look at things in a different way. It’s very calming. You could almost sell it as a mindfulness course !
Having just five people in the group is a good number. It allows for each one of us to have the amount of time we need with Kevin, and I certainly never felt I was waiting round for any assistance that I required, as I have felt on other workshops or courses with higher numbers of participants. And having other like-minded people on the workshop meant that there was always something interesting and useful to learn off of the others.
It's a nice to be encouraged to keep in touch afterwards, rather than feeling set adrift to try and remember the skills and techniques that were shown in the workshop.James MooreThoroughly enjoyable couple of days. Well-structured and organised. A good mix of classroom and street time. As ever Kevin shares his knowledge and experience without holding anything back. There is plenty of opportunity for some one to one help if needed. It was nice to get away for a couple of days to a different city and spend time with other photographers. You learn 'stuff' in this environment.
For me, it definitely helped get me out of my usual comfort zone and consider different aspects of photography. Particularly the importance of having projects and themes on the go so that you are constantly learning and improving as a photographer.
A bit of (good) pressure on day two when each delegate is allotted a mini project and has to go off on their own for a couple of hours to interpret and deliver the brief. Not something I've ever done but Kevin does put everyone at ease and is there to help if needed. After, we return to the 'classroom' for an review and critique of our imagery. Really enjoyable and Kevin was incredibly kind with his views on our images. It gave me a good insight of how to develop a project and curate the images into a story that meets the brief. Quite challenging but the emphasis was on using this workshop as momentum to carry on afterwards. Kevin also gave us an insight into his workflow and the way he gives his images his look. This was both interesting and informative.
At the end of the day it's all about taking pictures. No doubt that Kevin can fast track you to getting the best out of your equipment but this course is very much aimed at developing your 'eye'.......to read the light, read the street scenes and think about your pictures in advance of taking the shot. And perhaps most importantly when you go out on streets, have a theme, a project or a focus in your mind. You'll probably end up taking less pictures but they will be better.
Overall a big thumbs up from me !
Thank you.
