“One of the best social documentary photographers working today”
PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER MAGAZINE
Matt Badenoch - Street Photography Student
“Yesterday I attended Kevin’s street photography workshop in London, and what a brilliant day it was! I’ve learnt loads, but even more importantly, I had an absolute blast on the day. Kevin’s a great teacher and was very approachable whenever I had any questions.
I left the day feeling inspired to get out and shoot, which is exactly what I’ll be doing this afternoon and over the weekend to put some of the ideas into practice. Thanks again, Kevin!”

Street Photography Workshops
More than 1,000 photographers have taken part in these workshops over the years — and they do tend to sell out fast.

These aren’t just casual photo walks. They’re designed to give you real, practical knowledge you can take away and apply immediately. No fluff, just proper, honest teaching.
I keep the groups small on purpose, so there’s time and space to work closely together. That way, everyone gets individual attention and real value from the day.
You don’t need to be a Fujifilm shooter to come along - all cameras are welcome.
Together, we’ll work through a series of carefully designed exercises to help you understand your camera better and build confidence shooting on the street.
Whether it’s overcoming hesitation or seeing the light and composition more clearly, the aim is to help you grow.
Online Photography Workshops
My workshops and tuition are available as one-to-one sessions via the Internet.
Interested in getting to grips with Lightroom, having a portfolio review, a one-to-one black and white editing masterclass, or just having an honest chat about your business?

A little bit about Kevin as a Photographer, Educator and Speaker
I’m Kevin Mullins — a documentary photographer, educator, and long-time Fujifilm shooter based in the UK.
For over 15 years, I’ve photographed weddings in a candid, moment-driven style. That real-world experience shapes everything I do — from my street photography workshops and online courses to the Lightroom presets and tools I create for other photographers.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to speak about photography in places as far-flung as Tokyo, Argentina, and the USA, including on behalf of Fujifilm at CP+. I'm also one half of The FujiCast, one of the most popular photography podcasts out there.
If you’re new here, have a browse around. Whether you're after inspiration, training, or just a better way to get the best out of your camera, there’s plenty to explore.

My Story
Like many, I reached a point where the day job and a five-hour daily commute had taken their toll. I needed a change — something more creative, more fulfilling.
That was back in 2008. Since then, I’ve photographed nearly 800 weddings around the world, all in a pure documentary style. No staging, no posing — just real moments as they happen.
What’s always driven me is a deep love for honest, candid photography. It runs through everything I shoot — from family life to professional work.
Street photography has become my training ground. It sharpens the eye, clears the head, and reconnects me with the simple joy of observing life unfold, camera in hand.
The Fujifilm Connection
Back in early 2012, Fujifilm asked me to become their first official Wedding Photography Ambassador — a huge honour, and the start of a long relationship. Not long after, I was invited to Tokyo to talk about the future of the X-Series, a system I’ve used professionally ever since.
Since then, I’ve spoken at events and conferences around the world, and I’ve been lucky enough to return to Japan several times. But no matter the accolades or opportunities, my focus has always stayed the same — creating honest, emotive imagery for the people who trust me with their stories.
My clients have always come first. They’re the reason I get to do what I do. The roles and recognition are lovely, of course — but it’s the work that matters most.
And that continues today. While this part of the site is dedicated to helping other photographers, I’m still learning too. Photography remains my medium, my obsession, and, in many ways, my teacher.
Love Learning?
I see education the same way I see photography — it should be honest, open, and free from ego. No secrets, no gatekeeping. Just a genuine desire to help others grow.
I’ve been helping photographers for over 15 years.
I genuinely believe anyone can learn the technical side of photography — exposure, focus, knowing when to press the shutter. That’s important, of course, and I cover it in my workshops. But the truth is, clients don’t hire us just because we know how to use a camera. They hire us for how we see.
That’s why every workshop I run — whether it’s focused on weddings, street, or social family photography — is built around three core principles: light, composition, and moment. Get those right, and everything else starts to fall into place.
Nothing’s held back. I’m an open book, and my goal is simple: to make sure you leave with practical techniques, fresh ideas, and the confidence to try something new.
A recent testimonial …
“Loved it! Kevin’s presentation was honest and inspiring, and totally spoke to my candid heart! He was very patient and down to earth – sharing his passion and philosophy, and never talking down to us. It was like hanging out with a fellow colleague. The facilities were also great, and so chuffed that afterwards he emailed us a PDF of his presentation – that beats my scribbled notes any day! I would highly recommend this workshop to any aspiring documentary shooter/wedding creative. Cheers dude!”

Totally inclusive learning
For all my physical workshops, whether that is Street Photography Workshops, Wedding Photography Workshops or any other my approach is always the same. It’s inclusive, no question is unanswered and everybody comes away happy and educated.
