Why I Love this Wedding Photograph

Hetty & Jake enter the Marquee

From a Hetty & Jake’s Wedding Near Swindon

This post is part of my Why I Love this Wedding Picture series, where I describe why I, as the photographer, love a particular image or series of photographs.

There are certain traditions at Weddings here in the UK, and one of those traditions is the announcement into the Wedding Breakfast of the newly married couple.

In this case, Hetty and Jake. As a Documentary Wedding Photographer, I love this part of the day, as even though it happens almost every time, each time is different.

In this case, Hetty & Jake entered the marque from wonderful autumnal early evening light to rapturous applause of their friends and family.

You get a real sense of happiness between the couple in this picture, and I love the hand-holding between Hetty and Jake, the fun, the laughter and the glimpse of the guest on the left-hand side of the frame.

I love this wedding photograph, and I hope you do too.
