Why I Love The Wedding Photograph

Wedding at Elmore Court

Much Love at Nicola & Will’s Wedding

From a Wedding Ceremony at Elmore Court

A few weeks back, I photographed the wedding of Will & Nicola at Elmore Court.

Will and Nicolas's wedding was beautiful for so many reasons. However, there was one moment during the ceremony that I wanted to capture when I saw it unfolding.

Often, I'll get a shot of mum or dad looking at the couple during the ceremony. In this case, I was struck by the juxtaposition of Nicola and Will's interlinked hands in the foreground, and in the background, Nicola's mum glanced at the dress whilst resting a touch hand on her husband's leg.

As a Documentary Wedding Photographer, I must keep my eye out for this type of context-setting image throughout the day.

This post is part of my Why I Love this Wedding Picture series, where I describe why I, as the photographer, love a particular image or series of photographs.
