How to Use Fujifilm Camera Profiles in Lightroom: Pro Tips & Tricks

Lightroom has a set of built-in Fujifilm profiles that a lot of people either ignore completely or misunderstand. This video is a clear walk-through of what they are, what they aren’t, and how you can use them properly as part of a clean, repeatable workflow.

The main thing I cover early on is the difference between profiles and presets, because they get lumped together all the time. A profile is more like a foundational rendering choice - it changes the starting point of the image without shifting all your sliders around. A preset, on the other hand, is a set of slider moves. Once you understand that, profiles become a lot more useful, especially if you want consistency without baking in a heavy “look” too early.

I show you how to apply the Fujifilm profiles, how to compare them quickly, and how to organise them so you’re not endlessly scrolling through a mess of options. There’s also a section on creating a simple “starting point” preset, which is one of the easiest ways to speed up your editing without turning everything into a one-click solution.

If you shoot Fujifilm and edit in Lightroom, this is one of those topics that quietly improves everything once it clicks.
