Photograph London’s everyday stories with more confidence.
Join me for an afternoon of street photography around Parliament and the South Bank, working with the people, movement and changing light of the riverside.
We’ll use familiar surroundings as the starting point for your own photographs: a gesture in the crowd, a figure against the architecture or a small interaction you might otherwise walk past. Through short, guided assignments, you’ll practise noticing those opportunities and deciding how to photograph them.
With a maximum of six photographers, there’s time for individual help while you shoot. Afterwards, you’ll receive private access to a pre-recorded editing lesson on my website, ready to watch in your own time.
Time: 2pm–6pm
During the afternoon, you’ll work on:
Becoming more comfortable photographing candidly in public.
Anticipating moments and making clearer decisions about timing.
Using position, light and backgrounds to organise a busy scene.
Choosing practical focusing methods, including zone focusing where appropriate.
Connecting individual photographs through themes and visual storytelling.
No previous street photography experience is needed. Bring a camera you know how to operate and a willingness to experiment; all brands are welcome.
The exact meeting point and workshop notes will be emailed before the day. Transport, accommodation and refreshments are not included.
