Create a Street Photography Project Across 2027
A Year on the Street is a year-long photography programme for anyone who wants to move beyond individual street photographs and create a meaningful, connected body of work. Through regular shooting, constructive critique and personal guidance, you will develop an idea, refine your visual storytelling and complete a carefully edited sequence of approximately 12–20 photographs.
The programme combines four mentored London shoot days—23 January, 17 April, 16 October and 4 December 2027—with six live online editing and critique sessions. You will photograph independently between meetings, receive ongoing direction and finish with a coherent project and simple digital publication layout.
Zoom dates will be agreed with the group at times that work for the majority, and every online session will be recorded.
Places are strictly limited to eight photographers.

Make a Body of Work - Not Just a Collection of Lucky Photographs
A Year on the Street is a year-long photography programme for people who want to move beyond isolated street photographs and create something more meaningful.
Across four practical days in London, six online sessions and a sustained personal project, I’ll help you develop your observational skills, recognise the subjects and ideas that genuinely interest you, edit more critically and bring your strongest photographs together as a coherent story.
By the final session, you will have created and sequenced a finished body of approximately 12–20 photographs. We’ll also explore how that work can be presented as a simple photographic publication that you can share online or arrange to have printed independently.
This is not four separate photo walks. It is one connected programme, with time between each session to photograph, experiment, make mistakes and develop your own way of seeing.
Scheduling the Zoom sessions
The six Zoom sessions will take place in February, March, May, September, November and December. Once the group is complete, I will circulate date and time options and schedule each session around the availability of the group, choosing the times that work best for the majority. Every Zoom will be recorded and shared with the group, so you can catch up if you are occasionally unable to attend live.
