Shooting Weddings with Fuji X-T5 - Behind the Lens

Wedding Photography

Behind the Scenes of My Wedding Photography Approach

It’s absolutely freezing at the moment, and we’ve even had a bit of snow, which is unusual for the end of November. But hey, that’s British weather for you—it’ll warm up, then get cold again just in time for Christmas, no doubt.

Today, I want to take you through a few images from a recent wedding I photographed.

I’ll share what drew me to those moments, how I shot them, and some of the technical details involved.

If you’re a Fujifilm shooter, I’ll also touch on autofocus and why I think it holds up perfectly well in wedding situations.

At the end of the video, you’ll find the full photofilm that I delivered to the couple. It’s a slideshow of still images set to music—something I love creating because it tells the story of the day in such an emotional way.

For All Styles of Wedding Photographers

No matter what style of wedding photography you focus on—whether it’s editorial, documentary, or a mix—you’ll always end up capturing some candid moments.

They’re a big part of any wedding day. My aim with this post is to share how I approach those moments and hopefully inspire you to look for them in your own work.

So, watch the video and look at some of my favourite images from this wedding.

I hope you enjoy it.
