Discover Street Photography in Bristol’s City Centre & Harbour Area

Bristol is bursting with energy, colour, and contrast — a city where industrial history meets modern creativity, and every street corner holds the potential for a story. From the buzzing city centre to the calmer rhythm of the harbourside, this workshop gives you a rich and varied environment to explore.

We’ll photograph bold urban scenes, reflections on the water, and candid interactions that bring Bristol’s character to life. It’s an ideal setting for practising observation, refining composition, and learning to respond to spontaneous, unscripted moments as they unfold.

Learn to See Differently

Together, we’ll explore the streets, cameras in hand, working on exercises designed to help you build confidence, react instinctively, and shoot with intention.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Photograph candidly and without hesitation

  • Use zone focusing to your advantage

  • Approach themes and build visual stories

  • Understand your camera more fully — whatever brand or model you’re using

  • Get closer to the action and shoot without disrupting the scene

Whether you're completely new to street photography or returning to it with fresh eyes, you'll leave with a deeper understanding of how to make honest, powerful images from everyday life.

Who’s It For?

All are welcome — from complete beginners to seasoned photographers looking to reconnect with the craft. You’ll just need a basic understanding of how your camera works and a willingness to observe the world differently.

Whether you're a street enthusiast, a wedding photographer seeking stronger candid skills, or someone looking to shoot with more purpose, this workshop is for you.

About Kevin

I was one of the first Fujifilm X-Photographers in the UK and have spent many years shooting weddings and street photography exclusively with the Fujifilm X-Series. But you're welcome to bring any camera you like — this isn’t about gear, it’s about how you see.

Street photography has shaped how I shoot everything — including my wedding work — and I believe it's one of the best ways to build true storytelling ability through your lens.
