A pretty spectacular Wedding Dress
From a recent wedding at Wrest Park
I rarely put images on my website until I’ve blogged the whole wedding but I’ve just completed editing Louisa & Ian’s amazing wedding at Wrest Park in Bedfordshire and wanted to share one with you.
I’ll leave it until the actual blog post before showing you the full extent of this spectacular post but I was drawn to this image when photographing Louisa in the chamber just before the wedding ceremony itself.
Although the dress deserves full length images, I think its also important to try and capture the delicacy of the features of the dress where possible.
In this case, I wanted to try and use the light that was coming in from a window far away on the other side of the room. By spot metering the shot and waiting for Louisa to flick back the veil I managed to get the exact image I’d visualised in my mind.
I really love this picture, and I hope you do too. Its all part of the fabric of the day of course and I really believe that little details such as this help to weave that story together.
