Sulgrave Manor is a beautiful 16th Century Manor House near Banbury, Oxfordshire.
According to Historic Houses;
It is a Tudor and Georgian house built by direct ancestors of George Washington, the first President of the United States.
Set in a picturesque village some thirty miles from both Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon, it’s compact size, inviting gardens, cosy Brewhouse; serving hot and cold drinks and tasty handmade cakes, make it an ideal family destination.
It’s a wonderful place for a documentary wedding photographer to explore and photograph.
Oxfordshire has many Wedding Venues of course and it’s a perfect location for a countryside wedding.
Close to London, but far enough away to feel like it isn’t.
There is no richer symbol of the deep historical and cultural connection between our two nations than the ancestral home of the leading founder of the United States.
– Dr Steven Knapp, President of George Washington University, Washington DC
