Towards the end of August I flew off to Rome to shoot the wedding of Lavinia and Lewis.
And what a wedding! The wedding itself was in the small hillside village of Sora, with the ceremony held at the magnificent Cattedrale Santa Maria Assunta.
The reception, later in the day, was held at the amazing Villa Amorosa di Fumone.
Having spent some time with Lavinia and her bridal party, I quickly headed into town to get some shots of Lewis and his family as they made their final preparations and stopped for refreshments in the village before heading into the Cathedral.
By the time Lavinia and her dad arrived for the ceremony, the temperature was well into the thirties so it was a welcome respite to spend time in the cool marbled walls of the cathedral.
After a wonderful catholic ceremony, the guests spilled out into the beautiful Italian sunshine before heading off to the Villa Amorosa.
This was some wedding! Lewis and Lavinia and their families had created a wonderland of fun, and of romance, for their friends to enjoy. From cigar bar, to champagne, to dancing, to speeches and finally to fireworks.
It really was a spectacular wedding and I know Lewis and Lavinia will have a long and happy life together with some amazing memories, of that incredible day in the Italian Hills.
As usual a small selection of some of my favourites from Lewis and Lavinia’s Italian Wedding. Please feel free to share and/or comment! I love to hear your feedback.
