It was a cold and damp day last winter when I headed to London for Nargiz and James’ Skinners’ Hall Wedding.
I have lots of vivid memories of the day, not least notably, the waiting staff doing a series of exercises before service. I’ve seen lots of things as a wedding photographer, but this Skinners’ Hall Wedding remains the only place where I’ve seen waiters doing star-jumps.
2015 seems to have been the “year of the new venue” for me, as this was the first time I’d been to Skinners’ Hall. A mighty (and I meant MIGHTY) fine wedding venue it is too.
The ceremony was officiated beautifully by the Westminster registrars and a series of Azerbaijan (Nargiz’s home country) readings put a really lovely cultural twist to the moment.
Once the wedding ceremony was over, we moved into the library area for drinks and canapés. By this time the light was dropping in the late winter sky but this fell beautifully across the dappled windows of the room.
Dinner and Dancing followed….and much merriment I’m sure.
