A very 'fun' image....
Weddings never fail to be interesting. No matter how many I photograph, wherever I photograph them, and however they are planned – each and every one is different and each and every one leaves a specific memory in my mind.
I recently shot a muti-day wedding in London for Oliver and Hena and I’ll be blogging it in due course.
In the meantime, I wanted to post this picture up which makes me laugh out loud every time I see it.
Oliver had organised a table football competition during the evening which proved to be very popular and yielded some great photography opportunities.
In order to get the shots that I wanted (portraying the atmosphere and emotion) I had to get myself in amongst the other guests crowded around the table, but at the same time I wanted a low angle so I perched myself and my trust Fujiflm X100T at the end of the table.
Football, they say, is the glorious game. I’m more of a rugby person myself, but it was entertaining to see how people got so passionate about it (within the realms, of course, of humour and fun).
As a documentary wedding photographer I’m interested in the people at a wedding. I love looking at this picture, not only of course for the primary subject who is celebrating, but also the other characters in the frame.
It was a really fun wedding and I think this kind of sums up the day.
