I’ve been extremely honoured to be able to shoot the continuing family photography for Maja and her parents.
I recently shot the family as Maja is now two years old, which seems incredible as it feel like only a few months ago I photographed her caesarian birth.
Unfortunately, this time around the weather was shocking and persistent, heavy rain, meant we were consigned to shooting just in the house.
This is fine of course as I treat my Day in the Life Family Shoots the same was as I treat my wedding photography; I shoot it candidly and allow the evens to unfold around me, naturally.
I love this image below from the shoot as it really is as honest an image of a family as you can get.
i think moments like this, simple moments like having breakfast, can often be the most precious, yet the least recorded and perhaps remembered moments as the years go by.
When I shoot anything that involves people, there is no direction or intervention from me and I often say that I simply shoot people being people.
I really love this image because of the family unit it represents but mostly because of the very simple nature of the moment being captured.
I hope you like it too and please feel free to comment or share on social media.

Day in the Life Family Photography
As a dad myself, I know how important it is to capture those really fleeting times that make us smile, laugh and, sometimes perhaps, even cry.
Simple things like washing up, having breakfast, playing in the living room. Moments that we often take for granted but in the blink of an eye are just memories.
