St. Ermin's Hotel, London
Saint Columba's Church of Scotland
Late last summer I shot the St Ermin’s Hotel Wedding of Julia and James. St Ermin’s Hotel is a venue I had not attended before and its a gorgeous hotel, bustling with history and nestled just behind St. James’ Park in central London.
My day began at St. Columba’s Church of Scotland which was a nod toward the Scottish members of Julia and James’ family of which there were many.
Unfortunately, no photography was allowed during the ceremony but it was lovely to be able to capture Julia and her dad walking down the aisle and also to see the lovely smiles shared between Julia and James as they made their recessional down the aisle at the end of the ceremony.
Ahead them, to St Ermin’s hotel and after a short drinks reception it was time for some very memorable speeches. Notably, Julia’s sister made a very touching speech that was delivered directly to Julia and directly from the heart.
One of my favourite images from this wedding is the final one in this small selection below. It was clear to see that everyone was having a lovely evening as I made my way West and back home.
Thank you so much Kevin. We love the photos! They are really special and we will treasure them for the rest of our lives.
