It was a while ago when Catherine contacted me to shoot her and husband to be, Frasers’ small wedding at Old Wardour Castle, Tisbury in Wiltshire.
Now, I live in Wiltshire and I have done for nearly ten years. How I had never stumbled across Old Wardour Castle I don’t know.
Set in the peaceful Wiltshire countryside beside a lake, Old Wardour Castle, near Tisbury was once one of the most daring and innovative homes in Britain (so the National Trust information says). It was built in the 14th century as a lightly fortified luxury residence for comfortable living and lavish entertainment. Today the castle ruin provides a relaxed, romantic day for couples who are looking for that perfect, small, relaxed wedding in the Wiltshire countryside.
Unfortunately, it rained and it rained and it rained shortly before and during the ceremony. No bother though, Frasher and Katherine had a wonderful day and, surrounded by their loving friends and family (not forgetting Bear the Labrador) the wedding went off without a hitch.
A really lovely day, a really lovely couple and a really gorgeous small wedding at Old Wardour Castle.
“The photos are truly fantastic, thank you so much for all the hard work you’ve so obviously put in to them. We both said “how on earth did Kevin get that shot? …” when looking at some of them as we didn’t see you slyly moving around. I think it goes without saying that Bear is the star of the show, we will treasure these amazing photos of him when he goes to the great big kennel in the sky! Thank you so much, we are so grateful and must have looked at the online link a thousand times already!” – Katherine
