This is another image from Charity and Han-Rui’s wedding that I shot at the tail end of 2015 at Cripps Stone Barn in Gloucestershire.
Really, the whole day was a gorgeous event and by the time the speeches had come around I was really looking forward to whatever came next.
Speeches, are usually emotional parts of the day and there was nothing different in that observation at Charity and Han-Rui’s wedding.
By the time Han-Rui’s brother stood for his speech, I think I’d spotted at least ten people in tears across the room. Tears of laughter and happiness of course.
I don’t recall exactly what was being said at the point I photographed the moment below, but I remember smiling to myself a little when I shot the image.
It’s a real, genuine moment of happiness and as Han-Rui wipes away his tear, I can see Charity wryly smiling at the words too.
As a documentary wedding photographer I look for these types of moments throughout the day, not just the speeches. And its this kind of picture that I love to capture for my clients so they can hopefully relive these moments time and time again in the future.
