I hope you enjoyed my best wedding photographs of 2014 post the other day. It’s back to wedding blogging now with the Lains Barn Wedding photography of Alex and Carol last May.
I remember the day well as it was a blazing hot day, which followed some very unsettled weather.
It was my first visit to Lains Barn and it’s a really charming wedding venue. A great location, great layout and wonderful staff too.
I didn’t shoot any bridal prep for Caro so for me, the day started pretty much as soon as the guests were seated and Caro walked down the aisle.
Of course, she looked absolutely gorgeous and every head turned to watch her as she walked towards Alex waiting at the end of the aisle.
After the ceremony, we spilled out into the wonderful sunshine that was positively saturating the place.
Drinks, canapés and some happy hugging and loving ensued before Caro, Alex and their guests were ushered inside for the wedding breakfast.
As Caro and her family are German, the speeches had been carefully thought out and translated in advance. I was impressed. Both sets of guests laughing (and crying) at exactly the right point during the speeches. Good work Caro!
It was really a lovely day and a gorgeous wedding.
