Orchardleigh House is another superb wedding venue in North Somerset. Located just outside Frome, it even has its own parish church on site.
James and Suzanne did not get married there, however, choosing instead the lovely nearby parish church of All Saints in Lullington.
A traditional Charbanc bus ferried the guests between Orchardleigh House and the church for a lovely ceremony conducted by one of the most amiable vicars I have come across. Once the ceremony was complete, it was a short journey back in the charabanc to Orchardleigh.
The weather was perfect for Suzanne and James, and the guests gathered on the sumptuous lawns and terraces of the manor house. Later, a wonderful set of speeches, with lots of laughter, were completed with an incredibly well written poem written especially for the day by Suzanne’s mother who is clearly very talented.
I’d been to Orchardleigh house previously, but there was something very special about this wedding. The guests were clearly very happy to be there from the youngest to the eldest. The image below of the lady combing her hair was recently awarded a Gold award in the SWPP Photography competition.
I’ve got several more weddings to document at Orchardleigh house over the next year and as a reportage wedding photographer I can’t think of too many other places that offer such great coverage opportunities as Orchardleigh House in Somerset.
As usual, a selection of some of my favourite images from this wonderful wedding. Please feel free to comment of course.
