Back in June last year I had the pleasure of shooting Emma and Chris’s London Summer Wedding.
I’m making a bit of a play on the words ” London Summer Wedding ” as it was, sadly, quite a terrific day for your typical April shower.
Undeterred, I spent some time with Emma and her family as got prepared and made last minute alterations to her hand-made wedding dress.
The wedding ceremony was at the nearby St. Paul’s Church in Herne Hill. As the ceremony approached, the first of the torrential downpour’s occurred – just in time for mother of the bride and Emma to arrive at the church. There were some thankful thoughts given to the umbrellas at this point.
Once the service was completed, we headed out into a somewhat more summery day and headed over to the local St. Saviour’s Hall where there was drinks and canapés outside before the brooding skies and impending rain drove us all in for the wedding breakfast.
A London Jazz band struck up after the speeches and at that point, I made my way home.
Regardless of the weather, it was a really lovely London summer wedding and I loved the very vintage feel to the day….from tea in the park to the church hall decorations. Marvellous!
Fantastic photos -we couldn’t be more pleased with them. I agree with you that they really capture the mood of the day. We’ve got the disc. Enjoying looking through the photos again. They really are spectacular.
