The beautiful autumn Leighton House Museum Wedding of Hattie & Jonathan
It was last September when I photographed the Leighton House Museum Wedding of Hattie & Jonathan.
I started my day at the St. Mary’s Church, Battersea which I’ve photographed a few times before.
The weather was holding off, if not spectacular and the guests arrived along with Jonathan and his groomsmen early in the afternoon.
Thank you SO much. We are absolutely thrilled with the photos, they are wonderful and we couldn’t have asked for anything better!
Hattie & Jonathan
St. Mary’s Church, Battersea is a local landmark and nestles on the bank of the river Thames.
It’s one of those churches that are as impressive outside as they are inside.
Confetti & Umbrellas
Once the ceremony was completed, there was just time for a little bit of confetti and a dash for the cars and London Routemaster buses before the weather did turn a little inclement.
I love the excitement and dynamic nature of the time immediately after the wedding ceremony.
These are the moments where the congratulations, laughter and relaxation really flow and as a documentary style wedding photographer, it’s always a fun part of the day to photograph.
Leighton House Museum Wedding – What an Amazing Wedding Venue
As I mentioned in my last blog post about Nadia & Gavin’s Museum of the Order of St John Wedding, London never ceases to amaze me with the incredible places that can host wedding receptions and Leighton House Museum in Kensington is another of those venues.
Situated on a quiet side road in West London the house was the former home and studio of the leading Victorian artist, Frederic, Lord Leighton.
It’s a suitably dark, but incredibly interesting place with artwork cramming every inch of the walls and even the floors.
With the drinks reception in the lobby, the speeches were held from the grand staircase.
My day was completed once the cake was cut and I left Hattie & Jonathan and their guests about the dance well into the evening.
I really hope you enjoy looking at Hattie & Jonathan’s Leighton House Museum Wedding.
