This was a noir, winter Henley Town Hall Wedding that I shot for Lucy and Nick back at the end of 2016.
Lucy is an acclaimed writer and journalist and wanted a very definite documentary feel to her wedding pictures.
I was delighted to be a part of her day, which actually ended up being a couple of days (more on that in another blog post).
I used to live near Henley, but as is often the case when you live close to tourist attractions and landmarks, I’d never been inside Henley Town Hall.
So of course, I was delighted to shot my first Henley Town Hall wedding – and though the weather outside was dark, wet and cold, the amazing atmosphere inside the wedding chamber was wonderfully warm.
Along with Lucy and her new family, there were many guests, along with some well-loved pets, snuggled into the room.
As a storytelling photographer, it can sometimes be a challenge shooting the whole event in one room.
Not in this case though, the love, laughter, warmth and character of Lucy and Nick’s friends and family was almost tangible.
I really hope you enjoy looking at Lucy and Nick’s Henly Town Hall Wedding photographs.
As mentioned, this is a noir wedding, where all the images were in black and white. A handful of my clients choose this option each year, with the rest opting for a more traditional colour and monochrome mix.
If you wish to share this post, please feel free to do so – it can help me out.
