Hampton Court House Wedding Photography ~ Rose & Edward
When myself, Rose and Edward first discussed their Hampton Court House Wedding Photography I could pretty much tell that it was going to be a very special, and fun filled day.
I’d never shot at Hampton Court House before, and, despite living around the corner from there for many years, I’d never even been inside the building.
It turns out, it’s a lovely, 18th century building that’s right on the edge of Bushy Park where I used to run almost every day.
As is often the case, I started my day shooting bridal prep with Rose and her bridesmaids at her mum and dad’s home. There was already a great atmosphere and anticipation of the day to come.
As I left the house, the heavens opened, but luckily, as you’ll see in the images, the rain cleared for the ceremony and left an amazing ambient light that seemed to shimmer outside the church and lit up the altar perfectly.
We moved from the church ceremony in Wimbledon and made the short drive over to Hampton Court House.
The drinks reception is often where I catch a lot of my favourite images from each wedding and this was no different. I like to simply blend in with the guests, pretty much acting like a guest myself, and get these candid images that (I hope) give an intimate glimpse into the wedding itself.
It was, in fact, during the drinks reception that Rose’s dad did his speech. Perched on the window sill, he projected his speech far and wide. Not a single word, of course, was missed by the hushed room and it was evident to see, by the emotion shown from Rose and Edward, how much the speech meant to them.
As I left the evening light was fading, but the dancing and partying, was certainly continuing….
Kind Words from Rose & Edward
It was actually very emotional looking through them!” – Edward[/dt_quote]
