So, back to a chilly but crisp November day last year and I found myself at the glorious Cotswolds wedding of Ana and Michael in Chipping Campden.
Whilst brisk, the weather was beautiful in the morning and throughout the ceremony but boy did the heavens open later. No bother though, everybody was safely tucked away in The Kings Arm Hotel by then.
As is often the case, my day started by spending some time with Ana and her bridal party before taking a short walk down the road to St. Katharine’s Catholic Church where I met Michael and his best man.
Even though it was a Cotswolds Wedding this was to be a multi-cultural wedding. Ana, and her family, hailing from The Philippines and the priest traveling over from France especially to conduct the service.
The service was genuinely beautiful and a mixture of traditional catholic wedding ceremony with some Philippine elements added to the mix too. Everybody enjoyed it, including the bubbly kids, and Ana & Michael spilled out into beautiful winter sunshine to be greeted by their guests.
Back at the hotel, which is a lovely period town-house type hotel – perfect for this Cotswolds Wedding and guests began the celebrations.
The wedding breakfast and speeches were followed by an impromptu AV presentation of some of Ana’s close family and friends who couldn’t be at the wedding. Then the dancing……. before I slipped away.
Ana and Michael were a pleasure to work with and are great fans of the documentary style of wedding photography. I simply “did my thing”, telling the story of their wedding, through pictures.
Thanks so much – the pictures are absolutely wonderful, you’ve managed to capture some really great moments and convey a real sense of fun…something which was very important to us!
