Sometimes, when I’m driving back from a wedding, I find myself thinking of specific moments throughout the day that have made an extra impression on me.
I’m the “eyes” for the bride and groom at their wedding. My job as the wedding photographer is observe and capture those special memories, and moments and create a tangible and ever lasting collection of images that tell that story.
When I photographed Richard and Kath’s really lovely summer wedding in their home village of Wargrave in Berkshire I couldn’t help but notice the overriding feeling of happiness and love that abounded throughout the day.
I knew once I’d spent a little time with Kath and her mum, and bridesmaids before the wedding that this had been a meticulously planned day.
The wedding ceremony was literally next door, in St. Mary’s Church Wargrave and it was a short thirty second walk back home to the amazing garden’s and marquee system set up in the garden.
We were greeted by the wedding duo Ashmore Acoustics (who happen to not only be great musicians, but jolly nice chaps too), lovely sunshine and boat load (literally) of champagne and drinks.
As the sun started to go down, Richard and Kathleen and their guests moved into the marquee system for the wedding breakfast, speeches and dancing.
There was so much tenderness at this wedding and I really thrived on looking out for those little touches, the looks, the smiles, the hugs and the laughter. It wasn’t difficult to see it…..
