Hospitium Wedding Photography

Back in September last year I had my first chance at shooting some York Hospitium Wedding Photography.  I’d never even been to York before, let alone the Hospitum, but I wasn’t to be disappointed.  On a gloriously sunny early autumn day Carolyne and Thomas were married there – and I was luck enough to photograph the wedding.

The day started, as it often does, with some bridal preparation where Carolyne, her mum and bridesmaids were busy getting themselves ready for the day ahead.

I spent about half an hour with them at the hotel before heading off up the road to The Hospitum.  It is a lovely, listed building set within the grounds of the Museum gardens themselves.

After the civil ceremony, there was time for Dad to do a little speech before the guests mingled and congratulated the newlyweds.  Once settled in for their wedding breakfast, they were treated to wonderful rendition of several Elvis songs but none other than….. Elvis himself (well, he could have been - he was that good).

Some impromptu dancing to some of Elvis’ greatest hits before the remainder of the speeches and a secret key unlocking competition!

Once the wedding speeches were done and dusted, the guests reconvened downstairs for the evening party and as I left The Hospitium to start my long drive back to Wiltshire there were all in good spirits and enjoying themselves immensely.
