Stanton Manor, Wiltshire
Stanton Manor Hotel, Stanton St. Quintin is a jewel in the crown of wedding venues here in Wiltshire. The gorgeous Cotswolds hotel is situated just minutes from junction 17 of the M4 motorway, at the foot of the Cotswolds countryside and a short drive to the nearby town of Chippenham and historical cities of Bath and Bristol in South West England.
Stanton Manor has a lot of history. The original house was listed in the Domesday Book and was once owned by Elizabeth I’s Lord High Treasurer and Chief Minister, Lord Burghley. It was rebuilt in 1840 and nowadays all that remains of the original manor is the dovecote, although the large stone fireplaces that adorn the present 19th-century building were salvaged from the original house.
