Jess and Bryn got in touch with me last year regarding their Wick Bottom Barn Wedding. Wick Bottom Barn is a gorgeous large barn, converted into a wedding venue deep in the Wiltshire countryside. It’s a truly gorgeous wedding venue, and one that I hope to work at many times again in the future.
My day, as it often does, started with some bridal preparation photography at Jess’s mum and dad’s home nearby. I then headed out into the torrential rain for the short journey to Winterbourne Bassett Church for the wedding service.
Although the rain was stair-rod like, it didn’t put a dampener on Jess or Bryn’s enjoyment. After the ceremony the guests headed off to Wick Bottom Barn where, sadly, the weather deteriorated and we were all confined to the barn and the adjacent marque.
As a documentary wedding photographer, when the weather does conspire against you, it doesn’t affect the way I do my job.
I’m there to tell the story of the day, and it just so happened that the story unravelled inside, rather than outside. All the elements of the beautiful wedding were still there; the bride and groom had a lot of fun, the friends and family were all in great spirits.
As usual, here is a small selection of my favourite images from Jess and Bryn’s Wick Bottom Barn Wedding. I hope you enjoy looking at them.
If you are considering a wedding at Wick Bottom Barn, please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss your wedding photography.
