Wellington Barn Wedding Photographer
Anna and Tim contacted me to be their Wellington Barn Wedding Photographer last year. It was the first time I’d photographed at the barn, though I have a few more bookings there next year, and it was a wonderful experience – for, quite frankly, a very wonderful couple.
Anna is Swedish, and Tim is, well, about as English as you can get and between them they put on a wedding that took in the best traditions of both cultures throughout the day.
Anna had gone to some incredible lengths when setting up the details of the day. The table decorations were out of this world, and the wedding cake – well, I’ll let the picture below tell the story about that.
The wedding itself was wonderful, with lots of tears from the relevant parents – and some nervous looks from Tim just before the ceremony.
Anna looked absolutely stunning of course and as the day progressed it incorporated the traditional set of speeches, some Swedish folk singing (and related alcoholic beverages), a fun little game with shoes (which I’m told is a very Swedish tradition) and finishing up with a lovely first dance in front of their close friends and family.
Wellington barn is in an absolutely adorable location, nestled in a valley just outside of Calne in deepest Wiltshire. This day in June was just perfect – not too hot, but not cold and absolutely wonderful clouds and skies and sun, a tremendous shower thrown in for good measure – all making for the perfect place for this wedding in my opinion.
