The Rectory Hotel Wedding Photography:  I’m used to The Rectory Hotel, having shot there on several previous occasions.  The Rectory Hotel is a gorgeous Cotswolds hotel located a few miles from my home in the village of Crudwell.

Jez and Geri commissioned me to photograph their wedding here around eighteen months beforehand.  As with many weddings here, they actually got married in the neighbouring All Saint’s Church.

The bridal preparation was a little hectic, somewhat emotional but very very lovely.  Geri had her wedding attendants as well as members of her family all getting ready in her room.  It made for some laughs, and the odd tear as they all made themselves up ready for the great day ahead of them.

Once I’d completed my task at the Rectory, I wandered over to the church where Jez was greeting the arriving guests.  The wedding was back in June, but we had had a terrible week before hand weather wise.  However, I did a little ant-rain jig in the garden the night before and day was just gorgeous right the way into the evening.

Once the formalities and ceremony were completed, the newly married couple and their guests headed back to the hotel to commence the celebrations.

There was time for some field games (and some good improvisation by the bridesmaids here) as well as some simple chilling before the wedding breakfast which saw some very funny speeches – taken on board attentively by young and old alike.

The evening dancing started and it was time for me to slip away.  It was a really wonderful wedding – both Jez and Geri were having a great time when I left.

I’ve got several other Rectory Hotel Wedding Photography commissions booked in 2013, but if you are considering The Rectory for your wedding, please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss your wedding photography.

As usual a small selection of my favourite images from the day.  Please feel free to comment or share.

I love the picture during the preparations with the two hands on either shoulder, really lovely moment and great composition. And the shots in the church are wonderful – particularly the young kid! Great images Kevin.
