The Rectory Crudwell Weddings

Rectory Crudwell Weddings always bring back happy memories of clients (past, and hopefully future) having a wonderful wedding day in one of the loveliest hotels that Wiltshire has to offer.  Helen and TJ were married at All Saint’s church just next door on a “changeable” day weather wise back in June.

The wedding coincided with the Cotswolds Air Show just up the road at Kemble Airfield.  We were occasionally graced with the presence of a Vulcan Bomber and various other low flying aircraft.  I mentioned the weather being “changeable” – and I think this is the best description for it; heavy rain, beaming sun, showers and more heavy rain during some very funny and touching speeches seemed to be the order of the day.

For those of you who have ever been to The Rectory Hotel, you will know its a beautiful place, and perfect for documentary wedding photographers like myself.  Sadly, when the weather takes hold, it can affect the coverage at lots of places – however, The Rectory has a plethora of rooms perfect for the wedding guests  to hide away from any inclemencies that may be outside.

TJ and Helen had thought of every detail for their lovely wedding, and I could tell, observing Helen making the short walk from the hotel to the church that she was so happy and revelling in the day that was about to unfold ahead of her.  As always at All Saint’s the service was intimate but very special and once the ceremonial part of the day was over it time to head to The Rectory for some summer fun (in the sun and the rain).

As usual, a selection of some of my favourite images from the day below.  Please do leave a comment if you can.

Beautifully observed! That cross in the church is so dramatic! Really well done.

As always, some great observed moments and cracking compositions. Is Jamie Cullum the usher at the church door?

Beautiful images, well observed. I love the signing of the register shot, nice to see the Vulcan in there too.
