Great Somerford Wedding
Back in August last year I shot the Great Somerford Wedding of Polly & Phil. They were married at , St. Peter & St. Pauls Church, Great Somerford by Phil’s dad who the vicar for the day and then at the family home later. I wasn’t aware until during the speeches quite how much preparation and dedication had gone into putting the wedding together.
The day commenced for me with some bridal preparation at the house followed by a short journey over to the church. The weather was absolutely stunning throughout the day and only later, during the breakfast, did the heaven’s open.
The ceremony was extra special for Phil as it was his father who was presiding over the service and I know that meant a lot to both Phil and his dad.
Back at the house, the marquee had been gorgeously decorated and following some drinks in the garden it was time for the wedding breakfast and speeches.
Speeches…..wow! Emotional is not the word here. Almost everyone in the room was in tears as Phil spoke about their blossoming relationship and all the plans that had culminated over many years with the wedding. Even I had to wipe back a tear or two behind the camera.
An amazing wedding, with some very lovely and tender moments. Phil and Polly are in Australia now carving their new careers and lives together and I know they will be very happy as a married couple.
As usual, a selection some of my favourite images from Phil and Poll’s Great Somerford Wedding. Please feel free to comment or share on social media.

Lovely shots Kevin. The one of Dad and baby is gorgeous and that car is fantastic
Love the Dad and baby photo, I have a 4 week old son and I would love a shot even half as good as that of myself and him.
Lovely work Kevin, so much emotion and touch captured and you got the trade mark little kid shot but this time at the meal. Love the way you do that.
