Wedding Photography in West Wales

So, the end of June saw me heading to my homeland of Wales to photograph Geraint (Red) and Ruth’s wedding. Another old buddy of mine from my rugby days, I’ve known Red for many years and it was a privilege to be the photographer for their wedding.

The celebrations started on the Friday evening in Tenby, with the wedding itself being held at St. Mary’s Church. I have to say this church, nestled in the little seaside town, is a wonderful venue. The church is light, airy and just stunning. The vicar was very cool too – even allowing the bridal party to crack open some champagne during the register signing.

Knowing Red, the ceremony would not be complete without its full complement of patriotic Welsh songs (complete with opera singers) – and, of course, Ruth being a northern lass had her fair share of traditional English hymns too.

They celebrated late into the night at the Trefloyne Golf Club, where Red was reunited with his long-lost Tonka Toy! – A great day, a great couple who are I know will have a lot of fun in their new lives together.

As always, a handful of my favourites from the day – all shot from a documentary point of view. Please click the images to view larger versions.
