As a Welsh wedding photographer it’s always lovely to go back “home” to shoot weddings. In May, I documented the wedding of Miriam and Richard at the incredible Slebech Park in Pembrokeshire. I’d never been to Slebech park before and what a wonderful treat I was in for. It’s a glorious wedding venue in Wales and, as some of the pictures below show, even when the weather is at its worst Slebech is a venue that can accommodate even the largest of wedding parties.
I met Miriam and Richard around two years before their wedding and I could tell that they had taken great pride in planning a wonderful event. Miriam’s wedding dress was just stunning. That’s why the series of images below starts with the dress and its featured several times throughout the wedding photographs. The had entertainment on hand in the form of a great magician who mesmerised everyone with his card tricks.
The weather was bad, as mentioned, but as a reportage wedding photographer, the weather has little impact on my story telling from the day. The weather is part of the day, and in the end, the rainbow came out and it turned into a glorious evening on the Pembrokeshire coast.
As usual a small selection of my favourites from the wedding in Slebech Park. Guests can view the full gallery if they wish too.
