It was last June when I shot the Sanctum on the Green wedding of Sara-Lea and Ian, and quite a rock n’ roll affair it turned out to be.
I started my day just before the wedding at Sanctum on the Green – which had been beset by heavy rain for several hours before the ceremony was due to start.
Luckily, the weather broke, and the guests could enjoy the gorgeous gardens and poolside area before taking their seats in the outside ceremony area.
Whilst Ian patiently awaited his bride, the rest of the guests mingled and chatted with some Elvis Presley music to accompany them.
After the ceremony and the drinks reception, Ian, Sara-Lea and their guests took their places in the immaculately dressed marque at the end of the formal garden.
As a wedding photographer this was my first Sanctum on the Green wedding, it also happened to be the first time I’d come across an Elvis impersonator.
Both Ian and Sara-Lea are huge fans and I have to say, he had the guests rocking in their seats and was really a very capable Elvis.
The guests loved it, as did Ian and Sara-Lea.
I hope you like the small selection of stills from the wedding below.
Please feel free to comment or share on social media (that helps me out).
And of course, if you are planning a Sanctum on the Green wedding soon, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Black and White Wedding Photography
One of the questions I get asked a lot is; how much of your work is black and white? The answer is, on average, around 60-70% of a wedding is shot for black and white.
If colour is the prime feature of the image, then of course it will remain in colour.
