Documentary Wedding Photography Cardiff
The end of December last year saw me documenting the winter wedding of Rhian and Leon. They were getting married at the very swish Park House Club in Cardiff. Of course, being a local(ish) lad myself, I knew of the Park House Club but had never shot a wedding there. It’s a great venue and a real highlight of the wedding venues available in Cardiff in my opinion.
The day started at home with Rhian for bridal prep, followed by what I can only describe as a fun-filled, highly entertaining wedding celebration throughout the rest of the day. Rhian, Leon, their friends and family were all having a great time. The speeches were riddled with humour and emotion, and the best mans speech had me thinking I was back in my Geography lessons as a teenager….. a lot of fun and a wonderful couple to photograph to finish up the 2010 wedding photography series for me.
The year saw me telling the stories, through images of many many weddings – and I thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them. I’m well into 2011 already, having shot five weddings as I write this – they will start to hit the blog soon. I’ve also, finally, moved into my new studio here in Malmesbury – more on that in another post but please feel free to swing by for a coffee at any-time.

When a photograph makes you feel the moment, it transcends beyond a digital image or so a print placed in a beautiful leather bound album. The photograph stands on it’s own merits. It evokes. It describes. It more than shows the viewer. It makes them feel the moment.
Mr. Mullins, you have consistently produced great work and these photographs, these moments, are yet again evidence at your skill as a photographer.
The speeches made me smile. The brush of the hand made me feel.

Wonderful guest reactions captured there Kevin. Love the frame of the little girl in front of the top table, its as if she is sliding into shot & imagining the gathered guests are her on her behalf ! Cute detail !
