This was a photograph taken some time back at Emma and Matt’s North Hidden Barn wedding down near Hungerford, Berkshire.
I remember the wedding well as it was gorgeous day and a really free flowing, beautiful wedding.
I remember being immediately attracted (in a photographic fashion, you understand) to this gentleman right at the start of the day.
There was some very rustic, yet very charming about everything that he did.
When we went from the church to North Hidden Barn itself, instead of champagne, the drinks reception offered beers, ciders and summer fruit cocktails.
This is a very colourful image. Its screaming out to be in colour.
Whilst a lot of my work is black and white wedding photography, there is always room for colour images when colour is a primary feature of the scene.
I just love this picture. Its people being people, right?
I find myself wanting to know more about the gentleman, and his eagerness to have the cold beer on a hot summer day was almost tangible.
A real great character that kept on offering photographic opportunities throughout the day.
I hope you like this picture too.
