It has to be said that when I’m photographing weddings I get to witness a very intimate and sensitive part of people’s lives.
My role as the wedding photographer is to record these moments, however they fall.
In this case, at this Rosevine Wedding there was a lot of emotion spilling out during the bridal prep.
As the bride presented gifts to her bridesmaids, I captured this frame.
It was important for me to try and get the bride in the shot (laughing) as that added context to the image and also, reminds us that the tears are of joy, and not sadness.
I love photos like this from weddings. It reminds me how real the day is, and how much emotion really does spill out at a wedding.
