Weddings at St Pancras Renaissance London
Weddings at St Pancras Renaissance London – wow! That’s pretty much all I can say to explain Marianna and Adrian’s wonderful wedding here in April. The St Pancras Renaissance London is really a marvel amongst many of the London Wedding Venues. I had never photographed a wedding here before but the timing of it couldn’t have been more perfect. I’d just finished helping run a photography workshop in London the previous week so an extra night’s stop to photograph the wedding was the order of the day.
Adrian is Australian and Marianna’s family are Greek so there were people flying in from all over the world for the wedding. And what a treat they got too. There were to be elements of traditional Greek Weddings including the lovely pre-wedding ceremony with Marianna and her close family and, of course, the Greek Money dance later in the evening.
The day started for me with some bridal prep photography before shooting the pre-wedding ceremony where Marianna and her close family used a sash and flame in the station master’s room before entering the main ceremony room itself.
The wedding itself was blissful – a packed room full of wonderful friends and family, the odd soap star, and some of my ex clients in the form of Lucy and Doug too. After the ceremony, and a drinks reception, the speeches commenced in the library and then it was onto the wedding breakfast.
I took a break while the guests enjoyed their meal and I explored a bit of this marvellous old hotel. I can see why Weddings at St Pancras Renaissance London Hotel are very unique and exquisite too.
When I returned, it was almost time for the dancing. Lots of jiving and Greek wedding traditions, of course, were the order of the day and the photography culminated for me with the Greek Money dance. It was the first time I’d photographed a money dance, and it was a wonderful spectacle.
As usual, here are a few of my favourite images from Marianna and Adrian’s Weddings at St Pancras Renaissance London. Please feel free to comment or share on social media.
