Wedding Photography at Plaisterers’ Hall, One London Wall
At the end of May I travelled up to London to photograph Poppy and Rasim’s wedding held at Plaisterers’ Hall – One London Wall.
It was an absolute pleasure to be there, and I genuinely enjoyed all the traditions and atmosphere that a Turkish Cypriot wedding generates.
For the photographers who read this blog, I used a combination of a Canon 5D MKII and a Canon 1D MKIV and shot the whole day using just available light. Also, some of you may be interested in an article I wrote for The Photography parlour recently: Behind the scenes of a documentary wedding photography shoot.
Poppy had specifically chosen me because she wanted a documentary style wedding photographer and here are some of my favourites from the day:

Rocking Pictures Kev! Favourite is the veil shot – superb!
Gorgeous Kev, love the one especially of her sorting her hair & veil. Great work! Becky
As usual Kevin another wonderfully photographed wedding. Beautiful work.
Very nice work Kevin!
Hi kevin,
Great set of images, do like the image with the little girl and boy.
Beautiful!! I love the one of the two of them dancing
C x
you always manage to capture a magic moment, I talking about the one with the children, priceless!!!!
I think that’s my favourite too Mark.
Great images Kevin, some look like HDR??
No HDR Ian – a little “special” processing on a couple of images but all from one exposure.
Well done my friend!
Kevin – you’re my favorite recent addition to google reader! Honestly your point of view as an artist is like a breath of fresh air. LOVE the photos. The first one (bride looking at herself in the mirror?) is such a great capture of the joy a woman feels on her special day, all gussied up. And the picture of the groom looking at his bride walking up to the altar? Just timeless. Thank you for sharing!
Wow! Thanks Noa – very kind words indeed. Those two photos you mention are also two of my favourites. I think the very first really captures the essence of the bride on the day. Thanks again for your kind words.
Very nice portfolio of weddings shots- love the one of the little girl and boy on the dance floor- Grant
Absolutely lovely images Kevin. The dance floor and children pics are my favourites.
I have just stumbled across your blog thanks to a comment you made on another photographers blog, and well Im really glad I clicked through what stunning images. I adore the photos 5 & 6 in this post they really capture the moment and the first dance shot is superb!
Brilliant again Mr Mullins! The first dance shot is awesome – a great moment captured
Great wedding! I love the shot of her belting out the tune! Great capture!
Great shots Kevin.. SPotted the article on the Photography Parlour and headed this way.
How are you finding the Canon 1D MK IV… Guess the it helps you as you don’t use flash much.
Really fantastic post and very inspirational style.
Best regards
Barry
Hi Barry – thanks for the kind words. Re the 1D MkIV – it’s an incredible camera. Really opens up an opportunity to shoot with natural light for so much longer.
Images are fantaastic as always
Fantastic shots as always kevin.. I love the bride in the speech shot real nice moment!
