Last September I documented the wedding of Joanne and Edward in Cannizaro House, London. I’m shooting more and more weddings in London, and it’s a city I know well having lived there myself the best part of fifteen years.
This lovely wedding was to be spread across parts of South West London that were my old stomping ground, namely Holy Trinity Church, Clapham Common and then over at Cannizaro House, Wimbledon.
As usual I started the day with some bridal preparation and one of my favourite images from the whole of last year was the very first shot I took that day on my X-Pro1 camera.
You can read a little bit more in my Why I Love This Picture series article. The ceremony was at The Holy Trinity Church on Clapham Common and after a short delay we were under way.
A nervous looking Edward soon turned into a beamingly happy Edward as the newly wedded couple greeted their guests outside the church after the ceremony.
A Routemaster bus journey for the guests over to Cannizaro House in Wimbledon for the very lovely reception.
Even though I lived a stones throw from Cannizaro House previously this was my first visit to the venue and very impressed I was too.
From a documentary wedding photographer’s point of view it’s amazing. Lots of rooms to explore and gardens and outside space for the guests too.
Though the weather was threatening, it held firm and the guests did have a chance to enjoy the late summer offering that the British weather was throwing at them.
Onto the wedding speeches, which were hysterical in places, and then the dancing.
As usual a selection of some of my favourites from Edward and Joanne’s wedding at Cannizaro House. Please feel free to share on social media, or leave a comment – I love those and always try to respond too.
If you are getting married soon and still looking for a wedding photographer then please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss your requirements.
